December 10, 2021. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was in Rio Grande do Sul for the oppening of the new Guaíba Bridge, on the BR-290, in Porto Alegre, a project carried out by the Ponte do Guaíba Consortium, formed by Queiroz Galvão and EGT Engenharia. Our goal was to produce the news coverage and immediately spread the images to our customers.
The expectation generated by the new bridge is to alleviate road traffic by connecting Porto Alegre to the southern region of the state without the daily interruptions caused by the old drawbridge, which needs to open up for the passage of larger vessels. According to the governor and affected mayors, it was without a doubt the greatest impact of Brazilian engineering in recent times.

Para o evento estava presente o presidente Jair Bolsonaro no Rio Grande do Sul por ocasião da inauguração do eixo principal da nova Ponte do Guaíba, na BR-290, em Porto Alegre, projeto e obra realizados pelo Consórcio Ponte do Guaíba, formado pela Queiroz Galvão e EGT Engenharia. Nosso objetivo era produzir a cobertura jornalística e divulgar imediatamente as imagens para nossos clientes.
A expectativa gerada pela entrega da nova ponte é aliviar o trânsito rodoviário ao ligar Porto Alegre à região sul do estado sem as interrupções diárias causadas pela ponte antiga móvel, que precisa se abrir para a passagem de embarcações maiores. Segundo o governador e prefeitos afetados foi sem dúvidas o maior impacto da engenharia brasileira dos últimos tempos.
